There are many simple ways you can help strengthen our community’s wildfire preparedness:

• Attend a Lake Cushman Firewise meeting.

• Follow all burn bans and fire restrictions.

• Volunteer at a tree waste collection event (Stump Dump / Branch Ranch).

• Help a neighbor clean up and remove tree debris.

• Have a truck or trailer? Offer to haul debris for someone who needs assistance.

• Join us at the annual Wildfire Preparedness Day event.

• Welcome new residents and let them know about our local Firewise resources.

• Sign a waiver at the Lake Cushman Maintenance Company (LCMC) and help clear fuels from greenbelt areas.

• Get a Firewise Property Assessment for your own property.

• Learn how to perform Firewise Property Assessments and help your neighbors.
